I go out of my way to eat organic food, so why shouldn’t I do the same when choosing beauty products? Essentially, skin absorbs the ingredients from beauty products the same way your body absorbs the nutrients from food. As I slowly convert to chemical-free makeup (thanks to my friend Dangi’s influence), it is hard to believe that chemicals were ever necessary.

Taking Dangi’s advice, and after doing a little research of my own, I headed over to ABC Home yesterday to try RMS Beauty’s “Un” Cover-Up.  RMS Beauty is an organic line of cosmetics designed by make-up artist, Rose-Marie Swift. After experiencing health issues from toxic levels of heavy metals in the beauty products she was using, she launched her own line.

As I browsed the RMS Beauty counter, Rose-Marie herself popped into ABC Home! Still wearing her coat, she applied her “Un” Cover-Up (color 11) to my dark under-eye circles and to the redness around my nose. I looked instantly refreshed without feeling like I had on any makeup at all. I look forward to trying more of her products.
