From Rick Owens and Stella McCartney to Balmain, fresh faces ruled the Paris runways for Fall 2014. I’m on board with this barely-there beauty routine for an everyday look, but for nighttime I’m leaning more towards the heavy black lids we saw at Dries Van Noten and Lanvin. I especially love that the black lids had a painterly effect. This anything-but-perfect black lid is something I can attempt to do myself for a night out.

Oudolf is best known in New York City for his landscape design of The High Line on the west side. His approach to landscape is that of an artist, his innate ability to design an outdoor space that will continue to give you beauty through all of the seasons. I’ve been reading Oudolf’s book, Planting: A New Perspective but I look forward to learning more through his film.
