Last week I stopped by the oh-so-fun Kikkerland Shop to celebrate the launch of Kobo candles collaboration with Lotta Jansdotter. Made of domestically grown, sustainable soybeans, the pure soy candles burn cleanly while filling the room with a soft fragrance. With an eye on sustainability, Scandinavian designer, Lotta Jansdottter designed the packaging to have a longer life. The cup can be used later as a drinking glass, once all of the wax is removed and it’s thoroughly washed, of course. The box, adorned with Lotta’s simple signature prints, breaks down into two postcards to encourage sending handwritten notes. The entire collection has eight scents, ranging from Cloudberry to Forest floor. The simple design of the ceramic vessel makes us want to start collecting them. You can find Lotta’s pure soy candles at Kikkerland Shop and online at Kobo Candles. We have our summer linen candle (pictured) burning now, and we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to start the week.
