When it comes to face wash, I am a bit of a commitment-phobe. As I get to the end of one bottle, I am already dreaming of the next facial cleanser on my list. I even started buying small samples to save some money, which only perpetuates my phobia to commit to one face wash for life. I am currently smitten with John Masters Organics Rose Foaming Face Wash. Made with rose flower oil, linden blossom, plantains and aloe vera gel, this face wash is free from harmful chemicals. The ingredients treat dry and sensitive skin, softens and soothes irritation and promotes cell growth. I love the foaming aspect of this face wash, something you don’t find often in non-toxic personal care products. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean, but not dry, with absolutely no residue. It’s gentle enough to use on your eyes to remove mascara and eyeliner. The soft rose scent is a nice change from previous facial cleansers I’ve tried that have a harsh soap smell.
Since I work from home, there are many days when I don’t wear makeup at all, so I avoid face wash on those days. I only splash water on my face, spray with rosewater and moisturize with oil. Last week, my schedule was packed with events and meetings, so I was wearing makeup daily, and cleansing with the Rose Foaming Face Wash every night. I was worried that daily cleansing would dry out my skin, especially with the cold weather creeping in, but I was pleasantly surprised when my skin felt more radiant than ever. Do you have a favorite non-toxic face wash?
