I am always looking for the next best non-toxic shampoo because I haven’t found one that my hair and wallet love equally. Right now I’m using Giovanni Root 66 Max Volume Shampoo and it’s a favorite so far. For under $9, it seems like a bargain compared to some over-priced clean shampoos I’ve tried in the past. I love the Giovanni Root 66 shampoo because it creates a lather that most clean shampoos lack. I have very thick hair so shampoos that don’t lather (like the 365 brand from Whole Foods for example) just won’t do. I end up using way more shampoo than necessary and it weighs down my hair. My only criteria for a good non-toxic shampoo are as follows: 1- it rinses clean without leaving weighted residue. 2- It leaves my hair shiny when I air dry it. 3- It doesn’t cost more than $10. While Giovanni Root 66 Max Volume hits all of my criteria, I feel like there is room for improvement, so my search continues. I will keep you posted on my clean shampoo journey.
