11 May The Sculptor’s Residence
As we start week nine of lockdown, I can’t help but turn to interior inspiration for our home. Earlier this year at Stockholm Design Week, famed brands Norm, Menu and Dux teamed up to furnish this interior installation entitled, The Sculptor’s Residence. Pulling inspiration from artist’s ateliers of the past, they thought of every mindful detail.
This is the ultimate live/work space. Each corner allows for mindful observation. From sculptural elements and textured rugs, to a perfectly neutral palette, what’s not to love?
The ornate details of the Stockholm Nosh & Chow townhouse sets the perfect scene for simple, yet structured pieces that have a minimal ease about them. Let your senses indulge…

FURNISHINGS
From lighting designed by Norm Architects for Menu to Dux’s Japanese-inspired headboard by Dux, each piece of furniture is eloquently curated to work together in the space for a seamless design. Scroll down to shop this space.

SCULTPURE
Local sculptor, Nicholas Shurey’s work is made from lacquered, ebonised walnut and carvings from old apple trees. The modern simplicity of each object punctuates the residence and brings life into the space.

CERAMICS
The ceramics found throughout the residence add a small textural highlight to each room. Featuring Stockholm-based ceramicist Sofia Tufvasson’s Morel Vases and Atelier Armand’s concave and Audere sculptures.

STYLING
The thoughtful interior styling of The Sculptor’s Residence was done by Linnea Ek Blær. She has an innate ability to make the space feel lived in, but with a refined ease.

PHOTOGRAPHY
This space was captured by former Norm Architect’s in-house photographer, the talented Monica Steffensen. Based in Copenhagen after living in London and Paris, Monica captures each room of the residence in a truly artistic style.
