15 May Clean Beauty Staples
Recently we reviewed how to make the transition to clean beauty, and it’s been a few years since I highlighted my clean beauty staples. So as promised, here is an update of the clean beauty staples I use on a weekly basis. Through the years, I have tried hundreds of clean beauty products and these are the products I continue to replenish. All of which score very low in the Think Dirty app.
Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Cream
The illuminating effects drastically helps to reduce dark under eye circles and reduce the need for concealer.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil
I only use this once or twice a week because of the retinol in it. But I wake up with a fresh complexion in the morning.
Boscia Luminizing Black Mask
A long time favorite face mask, this is almost like a Biore pour strip for your entire face.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir
One of my most used products, I use it between washing my face and applying jojoba oil, or just for an afternoon pick me up.
Josh Rosebrook Tinted SPF 30
Not one for foundation, this tinted moisturizer helps even out skin tone while protecting your skin from UV rays.
John Masters Organics Face Wash
This rose foaming face wash never disappoints. It is gentle but efficient. I use it daily without irritation.
Aesop Deoderant
With a unisex vetiver scent, I often use this more as a perfume than a deodorant due to the $35 price tag.
Weleda Citrus Deoderant
For daily deodorant, my husband and I both use Weleda Citrus deodorant. For years we used Sage, but the Citrus lasts longer.
Organic Jojoba Oil
In the spring and summer, organic jojoba oil is the only face and body moisturizer I need. It absorbs quickly and I add lavender essential oil for a calming scent.
Au-Natural Blush Stick
A good blush color wakes up any tired face, and Sweetheart is my go-to blush color. Often times, I only wear this with a little concealer and I am fresh faced and ready to face the day.
Gressa Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation
I use this more as a concealer, I never wear full coverage foundation, but if that is something you are looking for then this is a great option. The botanicals in this foundation nourish your skin instead of clog it while wearing.
Kjaer Weis Volumizing Mascara
This is the best volumizing mascara I’ve tried. No clumps, and the formula made with jojoba oil conditions your lashes. It is great for sensitive eyes and Kjaer Weis offers refills, a great way to reduce waste.
Surratt Relevee Eyelash Curler
On days when mascara is just too much, I give my lashes a few curls with this tool. A tip from my make-up artist friend: curl your lashes at the lash line and then on the very ends of the lashes as well, this makes for an extra lift in lashes.
Pumice Stone
Made of 100% volcanic lava, this pumice stone works wonders on calluses, especially after walking around the city all summer.
