07 Nov One to Watch: Valeria Castillo
Normally my One to Watch segments focus on new designers, but I thought this title fitting for an up and coming photographer, Valeria Castillo. We shared a tiny NYU dorm with a few other crazies one very hot and sticky summer, what seems like a lifetime ago. Since then she has moved all over the world, I can barely keep track of her! From New York to Mexico City and now floating around Paris, Valeria always captures the surrounding cultural oddities on film. I am of course drawn to her Paris Fashion Week coverage. Her backstage images freeze the feeling of calm and crazy that defines any backstage mood.
