After a long summer of working almost every day, we finally made it out of the city. We spent a few days in upstate New York and one day in Pennsylvania where we visited a silk mill that was built in the 1800’s. Over a half a century ago, a waterfall ran over these rocks and the energy generated was used to power the silk mill. It was inspiring to stand inside a building that manufactured silk over 100 years ago. The way the earth gave its resources to power the mill was awe-inspiring.
