You know that feeling when you are looking for something that serves a common purpose but you’d like an elevated, more custom version? And you spend hours and days searching for it? And once you find it, it might be too late to make your deadline?
Well all of these things happened to me when I was frantically searching for a custom portfolio to display the lookbooks for DE SMET. With appointments lined up just four days away, and the need for a customized portfolio case, I came across KD Books. They offer custom colors, fabrications and even expedited service for people like me. I emailed, called and messaged them on Instagram, with little expectation that this was even achievable. To my surprise and delight, the owner, Kristin Dunn herself called me back. She informed me that she was going out of town in two days but assured me she could make my custom portfolio the next day and ship it out before she left. I was saved!
